E-Commerce Marketplace Specialist

Role Overview

We are seeking a smart, adaptable, and growth-minded E-Commerce Marketplace Specialist to manage, optimize, and scale multi-channel sales operations for an expanding kitchen gadgets wholesale brand.

In this seat, you will work directly alongside the founder/operator to own day-to-day operations across our growing e-commerce footprint—including established accounts (Amazon, Walmart) and newly launching channels (Target, TikTok Shop, Shopify). Starting with guided listing builds, SEO optimization, and daily marketplace hygiene, you will quickly ramp up to take full operational ownership of product catalogs, promotional campaigns, and marketplace strategy as the brand scales.

Key Responsibilities

1. Multi-Channel Listing Build & SEO Optimization

• Listing Creation & Optimization: Draft, launch, and optimize high-converting product listings across Amazon, Walmart, Target, and TikTok Shop using strong keyword research, compelling product titles, bullet points, and high-quality image assets.
• SEO & Keyword Strategy: Conduct ongoing keyword and competitor research to maximize search visibility, improve organic rankings, and drive traffic across all marketplace search engines.
• Content Migration: Adapt core product content, specs, and branding for seamless cross-platform deployment, including upcoming Shopify store integration.

2. Marketplace Operations & Account Governance

• Channel Maintenance: Manage daily operations for active accounts (Amazon & Walmart), monitoring account health metrics, listing quality scores, buy box status, and customer inquiries.
• New Channel Onboarding: Support the end-to-end setup, catalog population, and launch phase for onboarding channels (Target & TikTok Shop).
• Catalog Hygiene: Troubleshoot catalog errors, suppressions, listing policy flags, and inventory sync discrepancies across channels.

3. Account Ownership & Operations Support

• Founder Collaboration: Work closely with the founder/operator to execute daily priorities, transitioning over time from structured execution to full management ownership of all marketplace channels.
• Promotion & Sales Support: Coordinate storefront promotions, seasonal deals, marketplace ad setups, and inventory replenishment updates to maintain strong operational velocity.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• E-Commerce Marketplace Track Record: 2–4+ years of hands-on experience managing and building listings on Amazon and Walmart Marketplace.
• Multi-Platform Familiarity: Direct experience or foundational understanding of onboarding and populating catalogs on Target (Target Plus), TikTok Shop, and Shopify.
• Marketplace SEO Mastery: Strong proficiency in e-commerce search engine optimization, keyword research tools, and high-converting listing copy creation.
• Communication & Professional Maturity: Exceptional written and spoken English skills with an easygoing, collaborative working style.
• Growth Mindset & Agency: Smart, fast learner who takes initiative, adapts quickly to shifting channel priorities, and aspires to grow into a long-term Operations Manager role.
• Time Zone Alignment: Full availability to work dedicated full-time hours matching 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM US Eastern Time (ET).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working within a lean, founder-led e-commerce business or wholesale brand transition to D2C.
• Familiarity with kitchenware, home goods, or consumer packaged goods (CPG) product categories.
• Exposure to TikTok Shop affiliate/creator integrations and Shopify app ecosystems.

Success Metrics (KPIs)

• Catalog Population Velocity: Successfully building out and populating ready-to-launch product catalogs on Target and TikTok Shop.
• Listing SEO & Conversion: Improving keyword search rankings and organic conversion rates across Amazon and Walmart listings.
• Operational Independence: Progressing from guided execution to autonomous day-to-day management of channel operations, freeing founder bandwidth.
